Synthetic Biology Journal and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ChinaXiv, https://chinaxiv.org )Collaboration to jointly build a preprint platform in the field of nuclear physics( http://nuc1-ph.chinaxiv.org/ )Committed to providing authors with manuscript storage, rapid dissemination, and online first release through the preprint platform (ChinaXiv), we offer readers and the academic community a new, scholar autonomous research achievement exchange and academic dissemination model that includes retrieval, free download, and open sharing.

The relevant policies are now released as follows:

1. Synthetic Biology Journal is a collaborative journal of ChinaXiv, and will establish a business collaboration relationship with ChinaXiv to publish academic journals on a preprint platform, jointly committed to the online first release and rapid dissemination of research results, and enhancing the academic influence of research results.

2. Synthetic Biology Journal encourages and supports authors to prioritize publishing their manuscript (first draft or submission version) on the ChinaXiv platform before and after submitting to this journal, or to submit the accepted version (accepted layout publication) to (or entrust the journal editorial department) the ChinaXiv platform for publication.

3. In the absence of commercial disputes, authors of papers published in this journal (a subsidiary of the journal) may store the published version (later printed) on the ChinaXiv platform themselves or authorize the journal editorial department to do so.

4. The manuscripts (preprints) of scientific and technological papers published on the Chinese Academy of Sciences Scientific and Technological Paper Pre release Platform (ChinaXiv) and the papers officially published in journals do not belong to repeated publication.

5. Unsubmitted papers that have already been published on the ChinaXiv platform will be selected and officially published in the journal based on the quality of the papers and the needs of the journal. At the same time, we accept the recommendation of excellent papers from ChinaXiv platform.

6. This journal (a subsidiary of the magazine) will jointly provide additional services with ChinaXiv, including paper testing, preliminary evaluation, polishing, open review, and online publication, to control the basic quality of academic papers and ensure the basic level of scientific research achievements on the ChinaXiv platform.

7. Readers and authors are welcome to join our journal (a subsidiary of the magazine) and ChinaXiv volunteer review team, to jointly create a new type of academic exchange system that is autonomous for scholars, and to promote the reform of academic evaluation and the prosperous development of Chinese academia.

Note:

Chinese Academy of Sciences (ChinaXiv, http://chinaxiv. Org) is a preprint platform supported by the Communication Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, built by the Document Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and open to the national academic community (authors and readers, journals and academic institutions) to deposit, preserve, and use manuscript papers and subsequent versions of papers. It aims to build an autonomous, standardized, reliable, open and shared scientific research paper exchange system for scholars, devotes itself to building a national preprint exchange infrastructure, and supports the construction of a national high-end exchange platform for scientific research papers and scientific and technological information.

The benefits that ChinaXiv brings to paper authors:

(1) Obtain the first online publishing rights for the article in a timely manner. ChinaXiv can publish authors' submissions after preliminary review, greatly reducing the time for article publication, obtaining the right to publish articles online, and protecting authors' intellectual property rights.

(2) Better meet the author's demand for fast and convenient dissemination of papers. After the integration of the preprint platform with the journal, authors can meet the two major requirements of "speed" and "publication" by publishing preprints and then accepting publication in the journal.

(3) Significantly enhance the author's academic influence. The author submitted the article to a preprint platform, which integrated it into a vast academic exchange community, allowing it to be discovered by more authors, readers, editors, and the academic community, and showcasing its academic influence.
